To help people across Manchester gain the skills and qualifications they need for a career in a customer-focused role, we’re currently running our fourth Customer Service training course in Stockport.
The course lasts for two weeks and gives learners the chance to achieve four industry-specific qualifications including Customer Service, Business Admin, Equality and Diversity and Social Media. Learners also have the opportunity to upskill in IT as well.
We caught up with Christopher Fox, who first heard about in2wrk at his local Jobcentre in Tameside. Christopher first came to us as he wanted to improve his all-around employability. During his time in out Tameside centre, Christopher achieved Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in English and maths.
When Christopher heard about our Customer Service course in Stockport he was very keen to take part as he is interested in working in this industry.
“The Customer Service course is giving me the opportunity to get some really important qualifications that I feel are important for improving my job opportunities,” Chris told us.
As well as undertaking the Customer Service course, Christopher also decided to improve his IT skills. He achieved his Level 2 in IT before beginning the training workshop.
Christopher is currently halfway through the Customer Service workshop and has thoroughly enjoyed his time so far.

With only one more week to go until Christopher has four new qualifications under his belt, he’s sure that it will have a positive impact on his job prospects.
“Once I’ve achieved these qualifications I will be able to use them to find employment in the industry which I wouldn’t have been able to do before.”
