Community Coffee Afternoon at in2wrk Doncaster

We’re delighted to announce that Tuesday 5th December will be the first ever coffee afternoon at our Doncaster learning centre.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be inviting all our existing community partners (and hopefully some new ones as well) to the event which will take place at Fraser House between 3:30pm. Don’t worry, pastries and cakes will be included.

The coffee afternoon is the ideal place for us to showcase the various free adult courses we offer and remind organisations of our mission: to help the people of Doncaster upskill and improve their career prospects.

Over the years we’ve delivered literally thousands of English, maths and IT qualifications, but we haven’t been very good at telling people about it! In fact, in the last year alone, we’ve delivered almost 500 nationally-recognised qualifications and helped hundreds of people’s chances of finding long-term and fulfilling work. Something we think fellow community-focused organisations in Doncaster deserve to know about.

People who come to us to improve their literacy, numeracy and digital skills take away more than just a qualification or two. They receive transferable skills which enhance their day-to-day life and provide a much needed confidence boost. Read the blog posts about Laura Roberts, Bethany Donnelly, Maciej Gabrys and Stuart Abel if you’re interested in examples of people we’ve helped in Doncaster this last year.

We’re really proud of what we’ve already achieved in Doncaster so far, but we’re even more excited how we can help even more people during 2018. And with a growing programme of free Employment Pathways (including CSCS Cards, Sage Bookkeeping, Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, Provisional Driving Licence and many more), we’ve got plenty to offer people in Doncaster. We just want to make sure that you have all the information you need, so you can pass it onto the people you represent.

If you’re interested in coming along to the event to meet our team, see the learning centre and have a nice cup of joe, we’d be delighted to see you on Tuesday 5th December.
